    Oringo

    Rank 1 Unas

    Class: Scout

Oringo was a key player in the bloody revolt against the System Lord, seeking freedom for his people and their human allies. He rarely fought on the front lines, but his infiltration prowess got him into, and out of, places that few could breach. After obtaining a vital piece of logistical information, the Tau’ri from the Stargate were able to launch an assault and free his people. Where his intel had helped the freedom fighters determine their next step, this blow saw several planets liberated, but at the cost of his anonymity. Oringo considered it his mission to free the Unas from the tyranny of the Goa’uld overlords. When he joined the Phoenix Site, General Loyer was quick to notice his unique abilities and soon put him to work gathering intel for Phoenix-1. In return for which, Oringo struck a deal to keep the Unas’ presence confidential in order to protect his people.

  16. Can anyone make suggestions on which episodes to run for a convention. It will be a 3 hour block, but can be changed to accommodate a different time?
  17. What date is the deadline for submitting after-action reports to feed into the Living Series canon? Edit: Just saw this thread, so I assume the date was Sept 30th and we've missed it already https://stargatetherpg.com/forums/topic/1459-season-1-episode-release-schedule/
  18. Hi, I had to move on pretty short notice and need to change the address the book is being sent to. I just have no idea where or if its maybe already too late
  19. Got my book today. No screen yet but they were up front about the delays so no worries. Book looks great 'in person" as opposed to pdf and already have a game getting ready to start in a few weeks with my regular gaming group
  20. I'll make sure to add this in the next version of the Living Series Guide, but the rule is that a player can play an episode multiple times, but they must use different characters each time. A character can only play an episode once. Thanks
  21. Greetings one and all. New member from South Carolina. Looking to meet in person with others to give this game a go!
  22. Hey guys. I am also a big Stargate fan, living in Germantown, MD. I just jumped on the game, slightly late to the party but I was finishing a residency I would love to join your group if you are willing to have new players!
  23. First actual gaming session went well, but we need to work on non-combat encounter mechanics.

  24. Yeah I'm not super into the content being released or the speed its coming out. I may write my own adventures, but realized I'd probably be putting myself at risk if I tried to release them, especially if I asked even for a dollar or two on something like drivethrurpg. I have concerns over the longevity of this system if 3rd party content isn't encouraged.
  25. So I finally got my copy of the rule book and am currently designing my character, is there a group on here or anywhere else that i can join to actively play with people?

  28. I have to read another episode before I can do that. Because at the moment it is my (the GMs) expectations, that are not met at all. Usually the greatest fun as a game master/gate master/dungeon master is, when unexpected things happen, when the players are creative and use stuff in an unexpected way and i have to adapt the story on the fly: role play my way out of it! The first episode however is a lot like a TV show, story driven, very little left and right and a lot of "if users don't do that, torture them, implant a Goa'uld, kill them". An RPG however is character driven, which means: the players are the heroes, the GM is responsible for the scenery and things to do, to judge the actions and to play NPCs, but the players decide where the story goes. I had hoped for something like that in an episodic form, defined start and end, but let the players have options how to solve the problems given. The first episode - as it is written - strangles everything fun, our last group (with me only as a player, I took a hiatus after 5 yrs GMing) dissolved after ~10 sessions because the GM did railroad too much, nothing was of consequence and it simply wasn't fun for anybody anymore. This episode is even more railroading. It's a TV show, prewritten. GMing not required. I'll check another episode. I really hope you're right, that it's only the introduction. Most of the side missions seemed okay. If not.. maybe I'll try something like adapting Rubit's Stargate:Horizon
