Is there a editable version, I am a proof reader at edgr hill university and the amount of errors is amazing, am willing to go over it and fully proof read this work.

@Ankers666 Thank you for the offer. Our Beta versions are presented to the community as new material is introduced, then sent to our editing team for corrections. This process is to cut-down on double work. As each section is edited/corrected we are putting the corrected version back into the beta, again for the review of beta testing. A final/thorough editing sweep will be make prior to production. With all that being said, please send your CV to Gamemaster@Wyverngaming.com for the opportunity to join our editing team.

@borasavas Thank you for your interest in the Open Beta of the Stargate RPG. The PDF file that you downloaded is everything that you need in order to play the beta version of this game as it includes the current rules, character creation guides, and other information to allow you to play the game as it currently stands. This is a Table-Top RPG and not a computer-based game.

@borasavas Much like any tabletop RPG like Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, or any others, to play you will need a copy of the rules, either the pregenerated character sheets or blank character sheets, several friends to play with, and either one of the premade missions or missions that you create yourself. The rulebook contains further details on how to go about running and playing the game.

@BionicMan05 this game doesn't seem to have a board to play on.  I don't think its a board-game per se...even though there is a clear image of a board with a star gate and figurines associated with it....Could someone please clarify what that board is about, its not part of the game? I was hoping this was a board game 😞 Thanks!

@araxi There is no specific board for this game since it is an RPG and not a traditional board game. While a map and miniatures can be used to represent what is going on, they are not required in order to play. Many groups play with no visual aids at all.

@araxie This is a "tabletop" or "pen and paper" roleplaying game (RPG). One player is the game master or GM. The other players (usually 3-6, but more or fewer are possible) each roleplays a player character. From Wikipedia:

The GM describes the game world and its inhabitants; the other players describe the intended actions of their characters, and the GM describes the outcomes. Some outcomes are determined by the game system, and some are chosen by the GM.

In an episode of SG-1, each member of SG-1 would have been played by a player. All other supporting cast, enemies, antagonists, the MALP, Cheyenne Mtn Complex, the world(s) and the situations would have been described or roleplayed by the GM. As the players play, their choices affect the story and the game world.

The Film Reroll podcast is a great example of how it works and how both character decisions and fate change the story.

Hope this helps
