  3. Does anyone know if the STL files for the figures are going to be available for purchase? My husband didn't decide to get a 3d printer until now and wants the files.

  4. So its official, system is registered in Foundry VTT and can be used right now! https://foundryvtt.com/packages/sgrpg If you will be missing something please let me know ideally by opening issue on github page. Its super fast: https://github.com/sadovsf/StargateRPGSystem/issues/new/choose

  5. Here’s a list, compiled by galaxies, including planet name, address and sgc designation where these are known: https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Stargate_Network These are from the shows, books, the unfinished computer mmorpg, and the old tabletop rpg. I don’t think anyone has added the ones in this game yet.

  6. So after a long learning of VTT API and systems and really super short testing i bring you what i would dare to call alpha version of SGRPG system for FoundryVTT: https://github.com/sadovsf/StargateRPGSystem/releases If you run into some issues let me know here: https://github.com/sadovsf/StargateRPGSystem So far mainly systems and workings we wanted for our play and that were working in original roll20 implementation should be ready plus some QOL improvements. Hope you enjoy it and if you do, please consider supporting it. It helps me to keep working on it https://www.buymeacoffee.com/sadovsf

  7. Adventurers League & Path Finder Society are different from Living Stargate in important and utterly fundamental ways. First, there are so, so, many more than 13 adventures a season. Second, they're really no where like the linear story the LSG campaign has set itself up as. Thirdly, character progression isn't the strictly linear affair it is with the SG RPG. Oh, and there are a gajillion more people playing them than will ever play this campaign. If you're going to start level-gating adventures -- which I think is a terrible idea that screams trying to hammer a SGRPG peg into a AL/PFS hole -- instead of designing them to be playable by any level then, you have to accept that some people aren't going to be able to play them. Putting that gate in, then twisting everything in knots trying to find ways to allow people to bypass it seems to me to be a self-defeating exercise. Why go to all the effort of finding a way to circumvent the problem when the problem doesn't even have to exist to begin with? The question people should be asking is how to handle tables with both low and higher level characters sitting at it, which is far more pertinent to convention style play. What happens if someone who's played all of season one sits down at a table otherwise populated by people whose first game is the start of season 2? Or tables where most characters have an extra half season of play over someone? The devs should have gone with a scaleable NPC system where you work out how challenging an encounter/adventure is meant to be -- Milk Run, easy, difficult, hard, impossible -- and the system scales the numbers so that level of challenge remains broadly consistent. Since they didn't, it's going to have to fall to the episode writers to include a section dealing with these issues.

  8. I don't see anything in the rules about replaying modules. Are players allowed to play a module again with a different character, or are people who have been a GM for a module allowed to play through that module after they have been a GM for it?

  9. I see links for episodes three and four under episodes. They have descriptions but no downloads. I purchased the season pass last year during the Kickstarter and it was mentioned the episodes would come out this month. Are other people seeing files for these episodes? Thanks!

  10. I'll make sure to add this in the next version of the Living Series Guide, but the rule is that a player can play an episode multiple times, but they must use different characters each time. A character can only play an episode once. Thanks

  11. It takes a special game for me to back it on a personal level. My wife and I own a game store and when we found out about the Stargate Roleplaying Game we had to jump on it as individuals. I can't wait to see what is in store for us.

  16. It would be nice if the original episode 3 could be unofficially released as a non-canon episode if some of us wish to run it with out local groups. That was one of the games I had the most fun with at GenCon last year and am bummed that this is not going to be officially released. I was really looking forward to running that for my game group and get them excited about the game (like it did for me).

  18. I am looking for an official character sheet made by Wyvern. While the community made ones look nice I would like to see what would be officially relevant to see on a sheet, then from there either choose to use the official one or one of the community made ones OR (as I do in most RPGS) make my own based on others and what information I feel is relevant and where it is on the sheet, etc. 9 times out of 10 I make my own as I often find that what others think is important, I find is not and shouldn't be on the front page (I prefer multipage character sheets myself). On a slightly less related note, it says this is based on 5th Edition, I am assuming they mean 5th Edition D&D, so I'm going to have to pick up some of that source material as I wanted to add in Races from (A)D&D as either NPCs the players will encounter or optional player races. As well as possible critters that can be encountered as alien beasties and whatnot.

  19. Iam glad i could help Iam not sure about premium module as i cannot get probably payed legally for it. But iam allowed to even include come compendiums with prepared items and weapons for players so it could be quite nice i think. In a mean time if you like it and you can spend some small support on it i would greatly appreciate it as it takes quite some time to develop something like this and there is still lot to do For sure, let me know if you need something new in there or you run into some issues ;-)

  22. Not really. They started with naming them P3x-xxx most of the time, then around season 4 they started using season number as the second number. The designations in Atlantis mostly start with M. There were some fanon explanations that P stands for planet, M for moon, K for kuiper object, but that doesn’t exactly hold if you check them closely. However, if you are looking for a formula to come up with new places, it’s a good way. I would use something like: Letter to denote where the gate is: Planet, Moon, Kuiper object, Orbital Number to specify which orbit of it’s star it is on. Letter to denote the status of place: uneXplored, Goauld base, Civilized And a several numbers to denote ”something”. (Maybe galactic grid) So P3X-345 is a third planet of it’s star and currently unexplored. 345 ”something”.

  23. We're looking for ideas for bottle episodes and we'd like to have your help! If you have a Stargate SG-1 story that you think would make a good one for the Phoenix team and are interested in getting a "Story By" credit in a published episode. Send us the mission outline to Gamemaster@wyverngaming.com Criteria for a bottle episode is that it can be slotted into any season and has a completely self contained story. We are looking to keep these Missions around 5 pages (2 hours).

  24. I've been running a game for an episode and a quarter (using the season one adventures) and it's been a bit of a slog with the beta rules. Two things that might help: - Any charts that GMs feel essential, such as flowcharts for things like wagering determination points or combat - Useful tutorials such as YouTube videos showing how combat or other mechanics work I looked at the game demo videos from the convention game, but they are very long and full of role playing conversations (which is great but those at my game are all pretty experienced at that) and I didn't see an index saying when things like combat happen so I can just watch that. Thanks! Dan

  26. Hello! I'm not sure if this is the correct space, but I would love map tiles optimized to add to a VTT like Roll20. It would be nice to have them in jpg format trimmed to fit the grid system on a VTT - Also maybe produce a set without grids already on the maps so we don't have to spend a ton of time tryong to line the grids up. Also feedback on what has already been made available. In the Haven tiles, the Aturen District Ground Level the sections are very poorly stitched togther on the overview. Can this be fixed to make adding them to a VTT at least in line with the other overview maps. Thanks!

  27. Sauna and Hot Springs This facility is where members of Phoenix Base can relax and unwind. Surprisingly popular with humans, Jaffa, and Aturen, these spaces are quickly spreading to Haven in general. Saunas and hot springs help restore achy muscles and foster a sense of quiet contemplation and community. Benefit: When you spend your downtime in the sauna or hot springs, choose Athletics or Culture. You gain a bonus equal to the facility bonus to checks made with that skill. Additionally, if the facility bonus is +2 or higher, ythen the first time you suffer exhaustion during the next mission, you suffer one less level of exhaustion. If this reduces the incoming exhaustion to zero, you do not suffer exhaustion.

  28. This is mainly directed at the Administrators. I was thinking to publish my online discord campaigns as a podcast so I can share my groups adventures with the community and give the devs something to analyze in real time instead of a feedback form. Is there any issues with doing that? Just wanted to ask here first before going ahead and doing anything.

  29. I suspect the answer is probably "both", but the DHD is kept powered down and locked away in the basement for emergency situations. As a corollary, Phoenix Base using a dialling computer means it's going to be unaffected by next year's Avenger 2.0 incident but any teams it has deployed are going to be just as badly affected as those of the SGC

  30. There was a kickstarter that ended last month I was able to get in on in the last few days. It has some amazing stuff that will work wonders for a SGTTRPG. Looking forward to things getting back to normal next year ( I hope) so we can have people at the table again!)

  32. Whether required or not, D&D 5E is the largest selling RPG in the world. It accounts for literally millions of players. And about 75% of those won't even think about a different game engine, for a variety of reasons. For a small company, basing off anything else is going to merely cut the potential sales by more than half. Stargate, likewise, isn't the biggest IP around. FFG got away with Star Wars by several factors: FFG is a long standing powerhouse in the industry; Star Wars is one of the highest grossing IP's ever, and FFG went all out on the public beta. Star Trek RPG space has been fallow for a decade, so going bespoke with a top-10 engine adaptation was a big risk, but it paid off for Modiphius. Alien being done in the house engine of Fria Ligan, the Year Zero Engine, is a case where the RPG space has been fallow for over 20 years, and the prior edition was pretty much a flop. Tales from the Loop was a book first, an RPG second, and a decidedly trippy TV show only after the success of book and game. I'd love to have seen a Genesys version of Stargate, but I can't blame the company at all for going D&D 5 SRD... nor for accepting such a clause, if indeed it was a contractual stipulation. My first read of the beta says it's looking well adapted. Impressed me enough to go for the dead tree.

  34. Option 2 is just dumb. No credit for playing with a character that isn't the one you wanted to play the game with in the first place? I can't see anyone agreeing to that.

  43. The living RPG document states I have looked at this site and viewed some of the streams, but never have I found a clear explanation of when the living series will kick off. My assumption is it won't start until after the core rulebook, in hardcopy format, is available. It would be very helpful if someone, preferably from WG, could describe what will happen when.

  48. Hi everyone, I made up a Facebook Group for the Stargate SG1 RPG. I'm a backer at the Stargate Command Tier for right now (hope to go up or just add on when the pledge manager opens up). I have gained a lot of ideas and good discussion in the many FB groups I am in for my Pathfinder 1E games and I want to try and do that for Stargate. Hope you'll join us there as well as here on the forums. https://www.facebook.com/groups/880222332785542
