  1. The table of contents lists: Extras, The Goa'uld, Jaffa Troops, Ashrak, Beasts, Replicators, Reetou, NPCs by Class. Jaffa has 12 statblocks of increasing cr’ Beasts has rules for creating all sorts of creatures and includes several example statblocks. Replicators has 5 different models from the basic spider form to the queen. Does not include humanform. The npc’s by class has several new species rules with which to create an npc, as well as an example statblock for every level of every class.
  2. The Jaffa The Free Jaffa have fragmented into four factions, each with their own governing bodies. The Horuseans are a hard line traditionalist faction, holding on to the old Jaffa ways. Although they have rejected the false gods like most Free Jaffa, they still hold to the traditional identity as Horus Guard. The Horuseans stand at the frontline of the struggle against the remaiming Goa’uld. The New Origin is a philosophical faction of Jaffa who found the ideals in the Book of Origin to hold wisdom and enlightment, yet reject the idea of Ascended beings as gods. They have mixed the original teachings of Origin with those of Kheb, the Sodan and some human beliefs, to create a unique take on religion. Chulak Jaffa most closely resemble the Free Jaffa Nation of early 2000’s. A meritocratic republic, still lead by Bra’tac, Teal’c and the Jaffa High Council, the Chulak Jaffa hold warm relations with the Tau’ri. The Dakarans are progressive, mostly young Jaffa who believe in restructuring the Jaffa culture into something new and rejecting all the old ways as traditions imposed by the false gods.
  3. Tau’ri The existance of a Stargate and life among the stars is still unknown to the general population of Earth. Although there are now thousands of individuals from several nationalities privy to the secret, it has managed to be kept from the public. To the public’s eyes, the greatest human achievement in space exploration is a chinese exploration vessel on the orbit of Mars. In truth, the nations of IOA share a small fleet of intergalactic warships. The pinnacle of this fleet is the new BC-305 Battlecruiser, also known as the V-Class. Two of these ships are already in service, Victory, and Volga, with a third one, Vigilance, in construction, and two more waiting for funding. However, Earth’s supply of Naquadah is small, and limits the growth of Tau’ri fleet. In its two decades of operation, SGC has explored just a fraction of the Milky Way’s gate network. By the estimates there are some 20000 gates in Milky Way itself. Weapons of the Tau’ri: FN P20 Developed as an improvement to the P90, the P20 offers increased effective range and a larger magazine size. The P20 has standardized railing for attachments. Sig Sauer M19 A variant of the new official sidearm, the M19 was officially developed for the nascent Space Force and features improved functionality in variable athmospheric conditions. As opposed to the M17 and M18, the M19 features a modified ergonomic grip and a 15 round magazine, allowing for a more compact design.
  4. State of the Galaxy: It’s been ten years since the victory over the Ori threat. Although the Goa’uld System Lords Hierarchy was destroyed, there remains millions of Goa’ulds holding small domains across thousands of planets, many of which are outside the gate network. The Free Jaffa have fragmented into four distinct factions, who differ in both philosophical and political views. The Lucian Alliance have grown into a major power in the galaxy, rivalling that which Ra used to hold. And the Aturen retreated back to their homeworld and have not been heard of in the past decade. Although the galaxy is in a state of precarious peace, the Tau’ri vye for a new alliance between their old friends. The rediscovery of the old Phoenix Site has renewed the idea of the Phoenix Alliance, this time to safeguard the peace in the galaxy, and to free those who are still enslaved to the Goa’uld.
  5. The Phoenix Program was a lofty endeavour to create an alliance to combat the Goa’uld threat. It failed... Anubis found the site and decimated it, with only a handfull of personnel making it out in time. The Tok’ra and Jaffa differences, as well as the fragmentation of The Free Jaffa Nation led to the dissolution of the program. Whatever method Anubis used in the Site’s destruction, left the area of space in a state where all hyperspace travel is impossible. Furthermore, the Phoenix Site’s gate seems to have been buried or destroyed, as all attempts to contact it has failed to engage. Until now. The dialing program occasionally runs through the addresses of the known gates which fail to engage. The latest attempt to reach the Phoenix Site made contact. A MALP was sent through, but all it found was a Tok’ra tunnel around the gate...
  6. I’m going to use this thread to compile notes and ideas for my homebrew campaign, set in 2020’s. They will be mostly an unorganised mess, just like my brain, but I need a place to compile them, and this way you can enjoy them too...
  7. Ok, so another idea to generate a designation, more in line with ”computer generated alpha-numeric code”, and taking into account the prevalence of certain digits. roll d10 for each of first three digits. First Digit: 1-4=P 5-7=M 8-9=Random Letter 10=Random number Second Digit: 1-9=use the number 10=Random Letter Third Digit: 1-5=X 6-8=C 9=Random Letter 10=Random Number Add a dash followed by a random three digit number. Cross Reference known designations. If it already exists, add a fourth number in the end.
  8. I agree with the previous. Shooting is a sharp burst of high intensity energy. You’d need more of a sustained charge with controlled spikes to lock chevrons as I figure it. So, you could use a zat as a base for jury-rigging it, but simply shooting the gate wouldn’t work.
  9. Man, I actually wish I could commit to a pbp. I used to do a lot of those in 3rd and 3.5e days. This would be fun to try again, but I’m afraid I’d just end up dropping out halfway through due to work stress or something...
  10. Well, if someone missed it, the official sheet is out: https://stargatetherpg.com/files/file/86-official-stargate-sg-1-character-sheet/
  11. Yeah, there is: It’s not specifically for SGRPG only, it is Wyvern’s discord, but the channels dedicated for it do take a good chunk of the server.
  12. I doubt it. If you look in the store there is the official one up for pre-order. Some gm’s like to make their own. But, I haven’t seen anyone making one available yet.
  13. Game Master Screen. It’s a fold up screen with handy rules references on one side, and a pretty picture for the players to look at on the other side. You prop it up before you and can quickly find common stuff on it. Otherwise, experience. You get better at remembering the details with practice, and similarly you get more comfortable just winging it and improvising. Just trust in yourself. You’ll do ”good enough” as long as you and your players are having fun.
  14. Not really. They started with naming them P3x-xxx most of the time, then around season 4 they started using season number as the second number. The designations in Atlantis mostly start with M. There were some fanon explanations that P stands for planet, M for moon, K for kuiper object, but that doesn’t exactly hold if you check them closely. However, if you are looking for a formula to come up with new places, it’s a good way. I would use something like: Letter to denote where the gate is: Planet, Moon, Kuiper object, Orbital Number to specify which orbit of it’s star it is on. Letter to denote the status of place: uneXplored, Goauld base, Civilized And a several numbers to denote ”something”. (Maybe galactic grid) So P3X-345 is a third planet of it’s star and currently unexplored. 345 ”something”.
  15. Here’s a list, compiled by galaxies, including planet name, address and sgc designation where these are known: https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Stargate_Network These are from the shows, books, the unfinished computer mmorpg, and the old tabletop rpg. I don’t think anyone has added the ones in this game yet.
  16. I like the idea of using transparent blue 1x2 as a chevron. That way you can easily convert to Milky Way gates just by swapping to orange transparents, like you did on those extra pics. Nice work!
  17. I doubt there’s anything that matches ”perfectly”. That said, Heroforge has some face options that could work nicely as Unas.
  18. The balancing of D&D races is a bit different, so I’m not sure how easy they are to mix in. The rules have the same core system as D&D 5e, but there are a lot of differences for any specifics. As for the character sheet, yeah, I’d like that too.
  19. There was a hickup. It should show up in the manage purchases now. At least I got it.
  20. Should work now. Go to manage purchases, you should be able to download it there.
  21. There seems to have been a hickup in the launch, and the actual download isn’t working yet. They are working on it. I would hazard that at the heat of the moment, no official reply can be supplied. They gave a brief update in the discord chat that they are working on it.
  22. If you immediately know the candlelight is fire, then the meal was cooked a long time ago.
