  1. I am running the game (Water shed episode 2) for the first time at a small local con. Anyone have any pointers or suggestion for me? Prep I have done so far. 1st created a map of under water facity to share. 2nd have the paper figures printed for any combat 3rd plan to just give player the choice of characters that we can download from. This site.
  2. As we discovered in esp2 there needs to be an official way to deals with team disagreements on social rolling situations. I personally thing moral debate makes to more interesting role play but still the game does need to move on. The simple disadvantage method seem was ok on the fly but would not work in all situations. for example there was a clear majority in our group so disadvantage was plied to the majority but the minority didn't get to roll. This seem fair enough except what happen in a more 50/50 split in opinion? And it didn't really give any weight to the person being influence own natural leaning. So say the split is 40/60 but the npc is leaning in the 40% favor shouldn't this taken into account as well? Plus because of the way the system works there does seem to be an almost endless amount of time characters can use to influence the NPC so even with disadvantage I believe you would find the majority party would always win, just take up a ton a game time doing so.

    Ava Kolit

    Rank 2 Human

    Class: Engineer

Ava is from P3R-118 (Beneath the Surface) After the SG-1 forced the revealing that the domed city was supported by slave labor, Ava world was turned upside down both personally and culturally. Initially there was a mass exodus of the slave force to a relocated world. But setting up a new life in a new world is not as easy as people thought. Plus the Dome city was now short of critical knowledge of how their city really worked. Ava first work was to stabilize the Dome City so her people could survive. As time went a team was set up to negotiate and work with the previous slave workers. In time both side realized learned to work together and join again as 1 people. Some slave worker returned to the city now honored hero of the people. And some city people were even allowed to immigrate to new world, where in it's own way living was harder then in the dome. As both settlements stabilized the government realize there was a much bigger picture to deal with. With a joint gov. effort they re-establish ties to Earth. Ava is volunteered to be one of her people to join the Stargate program to help free all enslaved people, protect her home world and start an exchange of technology and advancement for everyone. 1st: Ground breaker: Nearly died and now have a massive scare from the barely survived staff blast. 2nd Watershed: No significant character development. But did locate several scattered Ga'uld tools that have been added to her engineers kit. 3rd: Twisted Path: Now hates the ascended being known as Puck. (Chucky disappeared as we passed thru the stargate but is free. since Chucky didn't stab her in the back she is rather found of him) After the montage scene it turned out Ava can now play the drums and rather well. 4. The only thing the site will let me download it the png picture and not the actual beta.
  5. Just an FYI: I. Ran a SG game in d20 system years ago and just learned of this update. So I will be trying it out at Gencon online. If I dig it and depending on created rules I may well run an online campaign after Gencon.
  6. I registered yesterday for three games at Gencon online
