Dr. K'wak is a medical researcher at Phoenix site’s tretonin lab, and volunteered to also be one of its earliest guinea pigs.

He prefers to treat injuries with his many self-developed potions and tinctures.  However, because these were designed for use by Jaffa, these occasionally cause a variety of surprising but thankfully harmless side effects in creatures who lack a symbiote to compensate.  The other non-Jaffa researchers have come to not-so-lovingly refer to it as “snake oil”.
