Dr. David Jenks is a human who was born on a highly urbanized and industrial planet where oppression and subjugation was commonplace by a Goa'uld system lord. While the planet was deemed to be a crowning jewel of civilization culture and knowledge, the enslaved human labor force had a much different perspective of all of the "progress" as a child, David would stare at the stars wondering what life would be like somewhere else- anywhere free of the Goa'uld. As he grew up, David learned as much as he could about the technology and science behind his overlord's power, including the workings of their stargate. Eventually, he took part in an uprising that briefly captured control of the gate, allowing him self along with a handfull of others to escape. Eventually, He found a place in academia and now serves as a SG science team member- liberating other oppressed humans at any cost.
