Arnika was once a host to a lesser Goa'uld. During that time the Symbiote crossed another lesser Goa'uld, Taranis, who banished her through the Chappai' to Cimmeria. When she arrived on the planet Thor's Hammer sent her to a cavern underground. She struggled to reach an exit and the Symbiote was blinded by rage by the time they made it to the surface. Upon crossing the threshold of the cave, the creature within Arnika was killed. She made her way to a nearby village and, while hesitant to aid her, the people took her in. Arnika took a her new name and began a new life among the people who granted her shelter. She eventually learned of another, Kendra, who had also once been a host. Taking inspiration from Kendra, Arnika decided to use the remnants of the Symbiote's memories in aid of the village. Soon she came across members of Stargate and was offered a chance to help stop the System Lords once and for all, she took the opportunity to join Stargate's Phoenix Base.
