Dax is an engineering wizard from the US. Virgin Islands.

Growing up extremely poor in an exotic tourist destination meant that Dax could regularly see what the "haves" had but had to make due.

Dax scavenged and adapted machinery from a very young age.

During one such venture, Dax met a "have" who was struck by the ingenuity and intelligence shown by the youngster.

The "have," Doctor Martin, sponsored and mentored Dax and helped him gain entry to MIT where he excelled in the study of AI, Robotics and Hyper-kinetics.
