Born into service to the system lord Yu, he was liberated shortly after his Prim'tah. He wandered for a few years, earning his keep by fixing things along the way. It took some time for him to let go of the belief that Yu was his god. He still has some doubts, but he was helped by a Stargate team when he was desperately in need, and he feels obligated to help them in return. Right now that means joining this team.
