The text reads: Quote WYVERN GAMES STUDIO ANNOUNCEMENT It brings me great sadness to announce that Wyvern Games is formally pausing all development work, and is effectively closed immediately. I first had the idea to start my own studio in April of 2024, but it wasn't until July that I had mustered up the courage to leave my full time environment art position, to pursue creating original video game titles, experiences, and a workplace that inspires and supports it's employees. Any studio head will tell you how hard running a games studio is. I'll echo that statement, It's fucking hard. Wyvern as a business still has some limited financial resources, still, as Managing Director I haven't earned a penny since starting out this journey, and it has finally taken it's toll. Despite being in the fortunate position to access welfare, this no longer covers my living expenses, and I am now in a position where building Wyvern is no longer viable, and my personal life is being deeply affected. I want to thank everyone who has supported me and the business throughout it's lifespan. We've provided university workshops, worked with new and exciting technologies, and given support to those affected by layoffs wherever we could, and this could not be done without friends and contractors supporting us throughout. 1001100x02 Posted November 4 Share Posted November 4 Wyvern Games is a computer game studio that has been in operation less than a year looking at those dates. Stargate SG1 the RPG is put out by Wyvern Gaming. Which is also essentially dead in the water, but the fact there hasn't been any sort of announcement might be worth some very vague hope?
