Unarmored AC?

basic ac system for D&D is 10 + dex + armor bonus + other modifiers like shield or cover and such. %e have over simplified the rules and just made armor a set ac of 11 to 18 or so you add dex to it, but to get the real AC bonus of armor just take 10 from it and you have the bonus. Also natural armor in 5e does not stack with worn armor. One of the things i liked about this system keeps the AC from getting stack crazy unlike in 3.5 and older versions. Been playing D&D this since the blue and red box sets so any questions i can help.
