I guess that as the news spreads and playtest material becomes available, the interest, membership and activity will grow exponentially. It'll be exciting to watch the Stargate community start coming out in force -- I have to imagine the Venn diagram of "tabletop players" and "Stargate fans" is pretty close to just being a circle.
