MacShidhe
It's a good system that's easy to teach and play and the scenarios I played at Gencon felt like SG-1 episodes. I enjoyed it. If you're not sure, the pdf is $10.00 so your risk is minimal.
DarkXtar
Yea, I'm referring to the cost of the figures and the episodes...it would make sense if they released it in seasons rather than episodes
DarkXtar
Yea, I'm referring to the cost. Also I feel that the core rules should be free.

Why would the rules be free? A lot of time and effort has been put into creating them. Writers and artist need to be paid for the work they have done just like everybody else. Like @MacShidhe said its a good system and easy to teach. You can tell that the team have put a lot of work into this and supporting the company by buying their products means that they can continue to release new material for the game. The figures, poker chips and episodes are all extra resources for GM's who want them, but are not essential. You only need the Corebook to run the game and you can pick up the PDF of that for $10.
1001100x02
I think Dark is referring to the OGL and its 5e equivalent, and the existence of the 5e SRD. Just because the terms of the licence make non-IP content available to anyone else who wants to use it in their product, it doesn't obligate the creators to give it away for free
